BOROVETS CONDITIONS - 23rd JAN

Morning All,
Sorry - we were really busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to post anything - we were also recovering from a heavy friday night with people from the forum....!!
In Borovets (top and bottom) there has been circa 6cm of fresh snow, with heavier snow fall predicted for tonight and tomorrow night. Now it's much colder (-3) and beautiful blue skies.
In terms of what's open:
Rila reds - 2 and 3 and rila blue - much better condition but a bit icy underneath ...

Sitnyakovo - icy but a bit of fresh power
Yastrebets - all 3 slopes open and in excellent conditions
Suhar / markudjik 1 and 2 all in excellent conditions and all open. At the moment, marky 3 is still shut.
If you are here and reading this, advice is to do Rila or Markudjik slopes as Yastrebets will be very busy with locals as they just buy a pass for the yastrebets 4 man rather than all the resort.

cheers kas loving todays update, wer are coming out monday we would like to meet up with you guys for a forum meet when do you think it will be happening??,we have arranged transport and ski school through you i am traveling with ryan i think he said we will be going out with bobby while r 2 begginer freinds will be with some 1else.Looking forward to a lock inn in your bar!!!???

Hi ya,We"re doing one tonight but we could probably do friday as well if that fits in, you're not here for next sundays's one are you?

The wind has really picked up at the top and it's freezing...!! Hopefully the gondola won't shut...

Morning everyone,I have just booked the RIla Aparments for 3 of us, I am SO GLAD I have just found this post, I have been stressing about the snow conditions, thanks Kas for the update, we will be there on Saturday 26th Feb for the week, hopefully it will still be good then.
Please keep us updated, never been to Bulgaria, looking forward to it.

Yep - sorry, been really busy but will reply now...Also, the wind has dropped a little and snow is perfect up top but a bit icy / misty at the bottom.
Snow Plough and D'boo have just come in the white house - great to see them again...still as mad as ever!!!

Just got back from the top and very cold. Totally clear at the top / half way down Yastrebets and then pure mist at the bottom, which will mean there will be now snow down there unless it clears. The local Mussala forecasts are still expecting it to snow up top tonight and then for about 48hours - so we will let you know if it does.
Having sth to eat at home to line our stomachs before the forum meet....especially with SP & D'booo there!!! Still no sign of Benn, but will keep you posted.. ...
