BOROVETS CONDITIONS - JAN 12TH

Hi All,
Well, not much change from the conditions I posted 3 days ago. Still no snow and unfortunately still abnormally high temperatures meaning that the snow cannons still cant be switched back on. Last night it was -1 and we need it to be -4 so that in absence of 'real'snow, we can get the cannons started again!
Best skiing is still on Yastrebets (first thing if possible) and Rila reds are still ok but far from perfect. As per a previous post Borosport are still running free ...

Night skiing is still very good - can get a bit icy but because they piste the runs before night-skiing starts at 6pm the first couple of hours are very good.
In general the mood in the resort is very good and it's great to see how people are enjoying their holidays regardless of limited conditions.

KasI arrive 16th jan were does the minibus to the yasterbrets slopes leave from ?

Hi John,always been a minibus on main rd outside gondola,if this has changed I'm sure Kas will update this,I'm out on the 16th so will probably see you in Bobbys,Rigs

First thing the Yastrebets slopes are still skiing really well.

HiBeen using this bus all week- runs from just up from the Gondola- they have about 4 buses I think depending upon demand- get up early for best conditions- gets a bit slushy after lunch but still skis ok up there.

The buses are great except during a busy week like 1/2 term.

I've led a sheltered life, never knew about this bus
14yrs, 20+ visits all that lost drinking money. S.P.
