BOROVETS UPDATE - 19TH DEC

Morning!

A bit of snow overnight but only up top - around 2cm. Still -5 outside and cannons still on Yastrebets.

Nursery slopes are opening today on the Rila side - as in drag lifts will be working...which is great news for beginners. Intermediates / advanced still struggling for things to do as they are not opening up Yastrebets yet - they may open it tomorrow (Yastrebets 3 & Popangelov) but will keep you posted on this.

Local forecasts say snow later, so will let you know!

It has just started snowing in the resort, albeit very lightly....

Bobby has been doing a beginners snowboarding lesson on the Rila nursery slopes...there is not much snow in between the 3 runs, but at the bottom of Rila and on the Rotata there is good enough snow due to the cannons...

Still not sure if they will open Yastrebets yet...will let you know...

Stoped snowing now but more forcast for the rest of the week and looking like a ski resort again now....!
