Hi All,
Extra run open today - Martinovi 3 as well as 2, but that's about the only change - saying that, it is still a step in the right direction...! Cannons were on through the night but off again now as there is plenty of snow! For those people that arrived yesterday / today, conditions are excellent - it's simply the number of slopes open that will limit people. It is -10 today ( a bit colder than yesterday) and once again beautiful blue skies and sunshine. Have decided not to ski ...

Have decided not to ski again today as it is supposed to be very busy (usually Sunday is busier than a Saturday) but will go up tomorrow. Snow is forecast for Tue / Wed (just seen it on the local news) but....as per everything this season, no way of knowing if that's going to happen....!!!
So...to summarise....
Rila nursery still closed - as lift still not fixed - it says on the Borosport website that it is open, but that is the Rila run, rather than the lift...
Yastrebets 2 & 3 open and excellent conditions
Gondola open and run down to Yastrebets is much better
Free shuttle buses still running to the 4 man chair.
Iglika and yanakiev (Rotata) drags open
Rila 4 man chair open - Martinovi 2 and 3 (both red) skiiable, - 'good' conditions at the moment
Sitnyakovo Express open for skiers as well as walkers now, but conditions are still pretty poor. The run at the top of the Express though is in very good condition.
All Markudjik slopes are still closed...
Nursery at top of the gondola is open.
That's it for now....

Forgot to say, the -10 bit was about 2 hours ago when other half took the temperature, so it may have warmed up slightly now, but no way of knowing until I get another call around lunchtime...

Great weather update Kas - Lowri and I wish we were back skiing, missing the snow already. Keep up the good work with the weather updates. Look forward to seeing Bobi and yourself next year unless we can sneek a weekend in before the end of the season and leave the grumpy ones at home!!! He HeThanks Sara

KasThanks for the updates, read them daily with interest. Flying out tommorow for a week, have been delaying but can't put it off any longer. Hope like everyone else that fresh snow arrives soon.
Any recomendations on good bars as got 3 days on own before meeting up with friends on Thursday.

Glad you got home ok and great to meet up with you all...there's loads of deals for last-minute weekend, so you never know!! Just email me if you need any help booking anything as prices in the resort seem to be cheaper than you can get online! Who knows...you may be back! Say hi to the rest of them, including the Grumpy ones....!!

Hi Andy,We like Titanic, Golden Horn / Crown, Mamacita's and Black Tiger, but everyone has their favourites... If you fancy meeting up in the week before your friends come out, then let us know - Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Sunday's are best for us, but can generally fit in with whatever...! I will be skiing this week (on my own) so if you want someone to ski with, then just give me a shout.

Just had a call and sorry to say that yastrebets conditions have got worse slightly and are now very icy and very busy. The fact there is so many people means the soft snow is just being pushed away and you are left with pure ice. Not sure why the cannons are not back on, but they have said they will start them later.
Also, from the top of the gondola down is now very rocky as well, however if you go over the top (as though you are going to the Markudjik slopes) and then double ...

You avoid the rocks at the top and then join the Yastrebets slope a little further down..this is then in very good conditions all the way down yastrebets 1 to the mid station.
Not sure if I explained that properly but hopefully you understand what I mean!
