Great report Val. I really enjoyed reading that. I am thinking of trying Bansko next time. Is the Pirin well sited for the Gondola and the town ?re: Back from Bansko
Yes it is. The hotel bus to the gondola runs every 20 mins and it is about a 10 min stroll to the square in the centre of town. We will definitely go back and would probably stay either there or the Strazhite which is nearer to the gondola and the top end of the town. The one we don't favour is the Perun. There have been double booking problems there and the restaurant apparently operates on a 2 sittings basis which I don't like although in fairness we only ate in once.
