All I'm saying is what I've heard, passed through Samokov and yes I would rather stay in Borovets and pay double. But if the price differential is double now and rising how long will it be before it meets and passes out Austria, last year I was in Andorra (Pas) and the prices are similar for the important stuff beer food etc. now while I loved Borovets, I will chase a bargain, because when it comes to booking for a family believe me it will make a difference.
This is what is worrying ...

This is what is worrying the Borovet's Instructors I've met it's (We!) are their livlihood, it's the talk among them so it's not just the punters are making rumbles.
Super Borovets or not it will take a long time before it meets the standards of Alpine resorts, and it cannot in the mean time justify rising prices, people will vote with their feet.
Samokov has its own small 1 km long run that is being up dated, hence the new chair lift.
The gondola will take people up through Bela Iskar to a new area at the top. This new area will be joined by another new gondola to the existing Borovets gondola.
It's best to look at the Super Borovets Project plans. They plan to double the skiing area in 5 years.
well ok, everyone is talking about the price hike in borovets, now i have never been but i am going in just over a week, now when people are saying the price hike is bad, are we talking higher than the uk or the same as the uk, or is it just a case that its more expencive than it used to be but in tearms of everywhere else, its still god dam cheap ?????
sorry mate just got back .forth visit didnt notice prices had gone up except 1 lev for burger on nursery slope resturant beer prices vary from 1.5 for a large beer to 3 levs we go to certain bars /resturant were they remember us each year always get looked after really well we are going back again we love it
The prices have gone up but they are not out of this world im guessing i spent about £30 or £40 more than i spent last year. Compred to those of us that can remember cheep Boro yes they have gone up alot but cheep Boro was a couple of years ago now. Its still cheep enough and great fun. I remember it 7 years ago you could have a fab night out for about 30 lev which was not much more than a tenner back then
Dito Liza we will be going back without a doubt. It is is a shame that the many negative posts can really put people off going or make people a bit concerned before they travel. Go and enjoy and make your own mind up thats what I say.
