Hi got back last night at gatwick at around 8.45...no case...still waiting...BUT got ski boots, hairdryer, makeup, + posh ski glasses, all important stuff....so ok (could be new wardrobe on the way)....Anyway 12 of us went and returned...my first time there and want to return tomorrow!!!! fantastic time! Stayed at the Iglika, smaller hotel then Rila which seemed very busy! Our hotel was clean and warm & relaxed. Try to eat at bottom of resort at lunch time as quater of the price from the top!! We had fantastic lady instructor called Gery..still compites in G8 racing...The boro sports instructors are told where to take you to lunch....but they have a few choices..politics and all that. The top of the Gondala, had fantastic fresh snow everyday, lower slopes need more, but when we left boro at 3.30pm yesterday it had been snowing heavily all day and i was hoping to be stranded in resort!!!! Can not fault the people so friendly and accomadating...Mama mias has a perfect house steak special, Basil and his colleagues are entertaining! The guys at the Golden horn where best for Pizza's and their grandads special home made wine, and made my niece a 21st birthday cake, with 21 candles on it..12 of us ate out that night, abut 3 litres of wine, beers, cokes, hot chockys for kids....worked out at £11.00 a head....Anyone going in the next few weeks, ENJOY!!!!!!!!
Welcome back Ally!
Im very happy that all things went well...
Last year it was my first time to Boro and we skied only at the top so now I was lucky that I had the change to know the lower pistes as well...
Now have to wait for the brochures to come out in mid AUGUST(!) to book again..
Can't prebook here in Belgium...Dju!
I hope that I can do the restaurant-tour then, so I can talk about it hahahha
All the ski instructors eat free in all the restaurants in Borovets so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter which one they take you to. They tend to go to their favourite haunts where they are treated best as are their guests.
We have had the same instructor over 2 years and I don't think we ate in the same restaurant (except at the top) twice at lunch time.
Dont get me wrong we were not taken to the same ones, we had a choice, but one of the instructures told my sis last year that they could not go in particular ones. but like you say prob have their fav places as we do!
We ate at top a couple of times, but would try to come down for lunch. Had a fantastic time, my first time there but my family have been there 4 times. I can't wait to book for next year!!!!

I know it down to personal preference, but i thought some peoples comments were unfair regarding the resort and locals.
I have 3 boys and they loved it there, as lots to do for them.
I injured my knee, (well a big guy knocked me over and left me on floor without so much as a sorry..) had to rest a day, and then did half day on the friday. Gery my instructor arranged for me and one of the boys to horse ride through the forrest with her husband who runs the stables. Made up for me not been on the slopes.Wonderful people.
