Baggage

Can anyone tell me the answer to this one please,on my flight ticket it states that each person flying is allowed 20Kg so if myself and my partner are going together are we ok to have 40Kg in the one suitcase.Sounds daft I know but only been abroad once and I didn't do the packing.I guess I will get all the regulars answering this on e for me so I'll thank you all in advance and let you know I shall cease with the silly questions soon as I fly out on saturday.

I got stopped on the way out they told me the maximum weight per case is 37Kgs so there I was in the middle of the airport unpacking and repacking my smalls and not so smalls. Very embarrassing!

al lot of the airports now have a 35kg limit I think.

The airline doesn't mind but it's the baggage loading staff at the airports.

Health and safety stuff lifting heavy weights. would put it in 2 if you can

That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid,I don't really want all my boxer shorts displayed in gatwick.Thanks for crazylady

You'd be pushing to get 40 kg in one case my missus packs everything possible and still only achieves 30 kg.

That leaves me 10 for myself.

On a serious note though they always mark anything over about 25 as HEAVY and may take the hump if you chuck a 40 kg whopper at them.Maybe for health and safety regs.

Why not split it into 2 cases and let your missus carry the heaviest one ?

if you take more than 20kg you will have to take your bag to out size baggage can be a pain, just take two its much easier and quicker.

Split into two, split both of your clothes into two, then if one gets delayed or lost your holiday is not ruined while you wait for the other case. Also give you a bit of room to take all the genuine designer sweatshirts back.

I think that's what I'll do thanks dave,my missus says ..thanks alot pal!!! I don't know what the problem is personally I bought the ones with wheels
