Bought my children ski's for christmas and took them to scotland in January. However the snow was that poor they didn't even get to put their ski's on. We have just arrived back from borovets and flew Balkan Airlines, true they are old planes but we got there and back in one peice. They don't have the mod cons of in flight entertainment or a hot meal, just a ham cob and thick coffee!!!
Just remember that every aircraft flying in and out of Britain has to meet the same, strict safety regulations before it's allowed to leave the stand at the airport. So whether you're flying in a plane that's 20 years old or 2 years old, they all have to have the same safety standards. They wouldn't be allowed to use them if they were dangerous.
Just relax. All this fretting on the boards at the moment - at the end of the day, what can you do about it anyway? Can you make it snow? Can ...

Enjoy

Flew on one over twenty years ago to Plovdiv (very differant then) and landed on ice and snow, a bit unnerving to go slightly sideways as the pilot powered each engine to bring us to a ...

Will be flying myself in March with Balkan, no fears at all....
Hope this helps
