re: Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

Well all i can say is Bansko is obviously so much better organised and together then every where else Cool Cool personally i think its b******s but you take your chance.
In Borovets all the vouchers are the same there is no differance, and the ski school CERTAINLY DO NOT KNOW IN ADVANCE WHAT THEY ARE GETTING Razz Razz thats a good joke, as anyone who has been is well aware of the chaos on the first morning whilst instructors are assigned groups, and i too am well aware of the set up Booze

Quite right Fraser. Bansko must be organised well. This does not happen in Pamps. You give the voucher to the rep they issue your lift pass and in the case of Inghams take you too the depot. You get your skis and only then are you sorted into groups. They have NEVER once chaecked or had a way to check if you have paid for learn to ski only. Anyway even if they have changed it for this year you can still pay the difference in resort. The instructers dont give a S>>> as long as you have a ...

Yep, Bansko must be more organized because they do check the vouchers and the vouchers are clearly marked beginners or experienced.

You guys who go to Pamps and Boro can still get away with it by the sounds of it.

I'm with 36th on this one. The tour operators will charge the difference locally when it's obvious the client has lied.

Whether it appears so or not, there is organisation in the ski depots.

If experienced skiers purchase learn to ski packs than there will be too many ski instructors and some of them will not get classes and therefore not paid.

Their basic salary is very low, so simply giving them the voucher will not keep them happy. They will lose out on all the excursions they ...

re: Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

In Bansko, our vouchers are clearly marked Learn to Ski Pack or Full Ski Pack.

And yes we are more organised than other resorts. It is certain and confirmed that you will be charged on the first morning should you have the wrong voucher for your ability.

Take it from me, i am in the perfect position to comment on this matter !!

In The Know. The tour ops have know idea in Pamps as you are only asked by the instructors once you have got you skis. Also I have never been "Sold" an excursion by an instructor in Pamps. How are they going to loose on commision from the restaurants? Beginners have to eat as well. It is the tour operators that are loosing out here not the instructors.

Daniel,

Of course they know how many learn to ski packs have been booked. It's not difficult.

When they know the number they arrange the appropriate number of ski instructors.

Basically, it's dishonest.
