Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

Balkan offer a beginners ski pack, which is cheaper, and then another ski pack for more experienced skiers which costs a bit more. I am an experienced skier and was wondering if I am likely to face any potential hassles if I buy the beginners/cheaper ski pack even though I am not a beginner?? Anyone else either done this or know of anyone who has done this?

Cheers

re: Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

I always buy the beginners pack done so now 4 times 3 with Balkan last time with Inghams. Never had a problem. All it is is a voucher for the instructor, I have also done it for my next trip with Inghams. But if they have had a sudden crackdown dont blame me if you have to pay the extra Very Happy

re: Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

You will face problems this year unlike previous years, because on the first morning when the ski school collect the vouchers they will put the Beginners Ski Pack people in a different area.

If you say you have skied before and have the Beginner Voucher, then you will be asked to pay the LOCAL difference in price.

This applies only to Bansko, dont know about the other resorts.

By knowing how many people have booked LTS in advance, they know how many ski instructors they will need ...

By knowing how many people have booked LTS in advance, they know how many ski instructors they will need for each grade of skiing, when people book the wrong ski pack this in turn leads to larger ski classes because people lied when booking.

re: Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

Sound advice. Thanks.

I have just had a look at the 2nd edition of the 05/06 winter Balkan Holidays brochure and they have also confirmed what you are saying.

re: Balkan Holidays Ski Packs

I know what you mean by that Julia, some people are happy to go with the beginners again.

But experienced skiers who book LTS will either have to stay in the BG group or pay to upgrade to the proper ski pack.

I am in a position to know these things VERY well ....!!
