Hi Everyone,
Heading off to Bansko on Saturday (13th March) with my girlfriend. Both of us are Skiing/Snowboarding virgins so don't really know what to expect.
This board has given us a few hints and tips, but what I really want to know is - will there be any snow when we get there?!
We're also somewhat confused about what to do when we get there. We have booked a Snowboard package to include lift pass, equipment hire and the board school - do the passes etc get given out on the ...

One more thing - should I pay any attention to the previous post "Bansko is run by Gangsters"....
Any information on the resort, the snow, the schools etc would be greatlt appreciated.

you will find everything at the cabins station : rental, instructors, etc...

Bansko currently has the best snow cover of all the resorts and whilst some new snow would greatly help, there is enough for you to have a great holiday.
You will need a photo for your lift pass which will be handed to you on your first morning by your rep. prior to you heading off to the slopes. These are NOT replaceable and if you lose it, it will cost you a lot of money to replace it, so buy one of the clip holders in resort which cost 5 leva.

Hi there -I'm off to Bansko on the 13th too - flying Newcastle-Plovdiv, staying at the Bansko Hotel - looking forward to it hugely.
Travelling solo, but if anyone fancies a pint or a piste with a middle-aged Scottish snowboarder, give me a shout.
Pete - I thought Bansko had electronic lift passes now, and you wouldn't need a photo? Is that wrong?

Knew you would come to the rescue. Do they have Ski-Doos in Bansko? I have a surprise planned for my better half and have been thinking that cruising up the mountain in and out of snow covered trees would be quite nice...
Is Alan right about the electric lift passes? I'll take a photo too - just in case!
One other thing. We have booked the Snowboard package. If either of us don't get on with Snoboarding and fancy trying our hand at Skiing, can we trade our boards ...
