Bansko - Next Week

I'm coming to Bansko next week from the 6-13th april 2011. I have just read that the lifts are going to be closed from sunday. Is this correct? If so, can anyone recommend anywhere nearby which will be open? We have flights to sofia booked but will change the hotel and transfers if necessary.

Bansko is now open until 10th april. The other days you may be able to ski over in Dobrinishte. Borovets is very poor. There is a link on here about this subject with closures etc etc.

Thats great news...! At least we'll get 5 days... After that we'll probably find somewhere to go for the last 2-3 days... lets hope they don't change their minds again (unless its another extension).. did seem odd given the webcams were showing nothing but white everywhere but the town centre all day today... Will check the other links now I've calmed down a bit...

Oh dear bad news mate..... dont know if 100% correct but we have heard today they are closing on 3rd April.

does that mean Dobrinishte will be closed as well..? if not we can probably head over there every morning... it doesnt look that far... not ideal, but impossible to book anywhere else now..! any advice as to Dobrinishte..?

Can try find out if Dobrinishte is still open but if there is snow they run the chair all year anyway so you will be able to get up. Will try find out and get back asap.

Star ???????????????? The amount of info Nightmuffy & Kas give us all season & beyond they are more like Angels.
