Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Hi,

So... I have never been skiing before and am
used to packing bikinis and dresses for holidays! I'm off to Bansko tomorrow and just had a few questions..hope you can help:

-Weather ... Is it all good out there at the minute?
-Lift passes ... We have decided to buy these out there (which I've gathered from this forum is most expensive way..great!) Is there any way we can get them cheaper, 24 hours before our departure time?
-Apres Ski ... What does a 20-something girl wear in Bansko when on a night out? I assume heels are out if the question..

Great..think that's it. I have never skied before and am bricking it to be honest. Having lessons though so wish me luck

Friend got back from bansko yesterday today saying that the temperature has risen but skiing still good

Lift Passes Mmmmm yes you should of bought them here in advance

As much as I am sure you will look terrific in your heels .. don't bother packing them .... it is VERY casual in Bansko ... jeans jumpers tops and sensible shoes is really the order of the day

The last night in the 'Happy End' bar some people 'glam up' a bit more ... but its not essential

Last year was the first time I saw snow in the village and it was the first year I didn't pack my snow boots .. Big Mistake! LOL

Have a fab time Helen ... and you will be fine .. don't worry ... once you get on the snow you will be hooked ... it's fab!!
