Bansko Febuary Half term?

Booked Smile

Off to Bansko for the first time, been going to Pamps for the past 9 years! And also another first for me that i'll be boarding this year and sacking the skis!
Change will do me good ( I HOPE! haha)
Absoloute nightmare to book for half term, prices we're horrendous but thats what you get for working in a school!

Anyone else off then?? Any tips on places to eat/ drink theres just me and my boyfriend (young couple)

Thank you!
Dee x

re: Bansko Febuary Half term?

Dee there a loads of places to eat in the old town. Proper old mehanas just take your pick. good bars are the Friendly bar,Lion bar, Amigos.
There is a cracking little cafe type place that my group always uses just down from the Gondola heading into to town on the right hand side should now be opposite a shopping centre and just before the ice rink. It looks nothing from the outside or in but you get very cheep food and drinks worth seeking out. Oh it has a blue SKIDVD sticker on the door.

re: Bansko Febuary Half term?

Well Phil has been to Boro so there might be a couple about. Surely Fraser has one on his chalet? Very Happy

re: Bansko Febuary Half term?

Dee, if you haven't already, please please get yourself some bum shorts (padded protective under shorts) you will fall but then it will be fun rather than a pain in the bottom. After the first few days learning you will wonder why you stuck with skis for so long Very Happy

re: Bansko Febuary Half term?

Dee, I have been boarding for years but only discovered bum and back protectors the past 3 and it's made a huge difference to confidence when trying new stuff and protected me from out of control skiers hitting me from behind Confused
