Hi Nightmuffy.Would I be right in saying that means the mountain to the right which has red runs only (and hasnt been used in countless years) may be working

The one you mention. It was due to many avalanche's why it was closed. So with avalanche defences it could be re-opened!! Will have to see I guess as with everything else

That is great news.
So firstly they have put snow cannons on red 12 and sorted out the stumps and river which will mean one extra run on the main mountain.
Secondly it will be opening up the second mountain which has what 4 extra long red runs similar to red 4??? That will be superb.
Basically that increases capacity on the mountain with the existing runs which frankly should be running anyway every year. Only then do you up the game to have more runs elsewhere.

WHat I dont get is why they do not publish their development intentions.Im assuming its a ltd company therefore in their annual published accounts there will be forward looking investment.

this though is pretty dense if it is their idea of how to run a company.You Market what improvements are going to be made and that could change some tourists minds to select bansko over elsewhere.
Keeping it quiet is bizarre what's their logic??
It might be Bulgaria but to run a prosperous company you need to act in certain ways.
To date the updates are from people like yourself who have nothing to do with that company. It's great you do update but I just don't get it

I think there may be a couple of reasons for not telling people1. they are rubbish at marketing
2. They are trying to do it last minute under the radar to avoid teh tree huggers
3. They are not actually putting avalanche protection in
I go for option 1

But infrastructure work like they will be doing is time consuming needs planning in advance.Needs suppliers and a ready workforce to carry out the work.
And of course the Building regulations & Environmental all fully resolved.
