re: Bansko on the up

Bansko's mountain is hardly a hill. Your visits to pamps and boro won't have enlightened you with regard to that fact.

Charlotte, just to help you clarify;
A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally steeper than a hill.

The distinction between a hill and a mountain is unclear and largely subjective, but a hill is generally somewhat lower and less steep than a mountain. In the United Kingdom geographers historically regarded mountains as hills greater than 1,000 feet ...

re: Bansko on the up

You can call it a hill, mountain, slope or whatever, but it doesnt change the fact that its the best ski resort in BG, possibly in Eastern Europe. In my most humble opinion that is!!.

Very Happy

That's why they have problems with queueing at the gondola. If it wasn't the best resort in bulgaria those people would be somewhere else.

re: Bansko on the up

We have heard(maybe Bansko Rumours) from a colleague that the new gondola is to be started on at end of season and should be running next season. This has come from a member of Ulen team to a friend of ours but again could be Bansko rumours. also they said that preperation on the old Akidemika lift will be having work done this season, in line with the new gondola work, to open for next ........... you never know Wink

re: Bansko on the up

It used to be T hotels, till they went away from BG, they're in Mountview lodge. One 2 bedroom and one 1 bedroom. They aren't booked for 10/11 season but i suggest you don't book them in easter as thats when we come over, this year it came as a surprise that my some of m relatives and my cousins boyfriend are coming over as well from Jersey.

So i suggest if your truly interested you give me some info, but you probably won't get a place. Wink
