Hi PP - Do you know the exact location of the web cam on this forum (Bansko one) - I have the piste map and I just wondered which run it was on

The webcam is at the bottom of red run No 8. I'm surprised people are moaning so much about Bansko. you get what you pay for . Its not a Zell am Zee or Mayerhofen but then again you pay double the price to go to the Alps, My advice to anyone the is going out soon is enjoy the skiing and the cheap Apres ski.

Thanks Gogs

I will try to keep an open mind about the whole thing

Sometimes a little information is dangerous

I am addicted to this site but don't always like what I read - Need to go cold turkey!

re: Bansko review

I was there a few weeks ago and to be honest, we didn't queue for more than 5-10 mins anywhere.

Just an unlucky week I think with the race and bomb scare and rare high winds. Been the last 3 years and only had 1 day with the gondela shut.

re: Bansko review

its been bad luck with the weather this year, but I would second the concerns at over crowding with the massive ongoing construction. Next year and the one after promise to be interesting. This weekend it was packed and there are still 10,000 apartments being built. Still, I can get 4 star for 75 euro a night and there's a new road than cuts the travel time down even more, so its good for me.

I do wonder why anyone who dares to say anything negative here gets called a 'moaner'.

re: Bansko review

Took 3 1st timers with us 2 weeks ago and they loved it!!!Already want us to book Bansko for next year. We are heading out again on March 10th - looked at other places but couldn't match Bansko for prices.
Go with an open mind and decide for yourself.

The queue problem at gondola base station is a time issue, we went during this supposed bad week and only once were late for ski school, get to the gondola for 8.30 ish and no problems or have a later start after 10.30am, also if you can manage the ski road down every night it's a pure pleasure but to ski/board down nearly alone take a late evening drink at Bunderishka bars which stay open till about 4.30pm and it's a delightful quiet experience evan getting down near dark the lower half is ...
