Just got back from the slopes at Bansko. After this mornings message, i believe i may have spoke to soon. Yes there is snow and it may look picture perfect but infact its a bit bab really. There is only one chair running which takes u to the drag lift, (the on on the webcam). This run is pretty icy and as u go back to the gondala pretty rocky. As for the other runs they are shut, and for good reason as we found out. We walked a little to find ankle deep powder, great we thought. ...

As for the other runs they are shut, and for good reason as we found out. We walked a little to find ankle deep powder, great we thought. then we came across, rocks, holes and massive trenches across the slopes.
So i'm sorry to report that Bansko is not that hot, sorry folks, although lift passes are have price at the mo but for a very good reason. Altogether Bansko needs more snow. Sorry,

Just read your post and now feeling soooooooo gutted. Flying out on Sat with my two children first time skiing. Also never been away for Christmas and thought it would be wonderful to go skiing, how wrong was i. I think i would rather loose the money and not go at all, no snow forcast for next week either. Never Never again will i book to go skiing.
If I wer you go for it what have you got to go, I know I would sooner take a chance with my kids and have have a fun holiday rather than disappoint them. Even if you just do a bit of skiing because it might be limited and then snowballing and a bit of bum boarding. Depending where you stay there are pools, bowling and ice skating. Last year in Bansko the gondola was shut for us for a few days due to high winds so we sorted out to go into the mountains riding and it was fantastic. Don't ...
