Bansko today

Can anyone give me an update on the condiions today... Im not if you've skied today Steve? any update would be greatly appreciated

I skied today charlie, and to be honest i was stoked at the conditions. Ok, a bit heavy (apart from the very top) but still good cover (apart from blue 10), and great fun was had by all. Me and Wendy blasted around all the runs, reds 4 and 5 skiing particularly well as was Tomba and 9a. Even the ski road was holding up.. Finished on the black at Challin Valog, big turns in spring snow, fantastic......

Ausumn cheers Steve im out next week and i think today was the last of the 'warm days' before then. so hopefully good skiing next week.

Snowing on and off all day today on the mountain, temps predicted to drop further, with more snow...
Skiing Wednesday methinks
Predel looked lovely this morning with snow in the trees, a winter paradise, as i drove again to Sofia with returning skidvd crew.. who have had a fantastic week..
Bansko will close officially on April 3rd (likely when the last Balkan guest leaves resort) but we always have Dobriniste if the snow continues

That seems like an early end to the season. Doesnt it usually last a bit longer than that? Maybe just weekends etc?

It does seem a little early, perhaps a week, but conditions have been poor this season and this has been reflected in the number of tourists and perhaps the lack of confidence in enough snow.
Generally (though not admitted) we can predict the end of the season by observing the last dates in the Balkan Holidays brochure. Absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Balkan and Ulen are one and the same

Ah I see. Shame really. Boro and Pamps seem to have done a bit better on the snow front this season. Although I think generally Europe wide it's been pretty poor. Pamps is running until the 10th I think although can't see there being much open by the end!
