We are looking at returning for 1 of our trips next year and was maybe thinking of trying out Bansko.Could anyone who has been to both resorts give me some info for comparisons.
Whats the skiing like? Whats the night life like? Is every other bar a lap dancing bar? (and no we didnt go in any!!)
Best hotel or area to stay?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Keef
Havent been to borovets but have been to bansko and pamps, Bansko ski area is brill didnt get many compaints from my hubby either and hes an experienced skiing and was moaning before we went at limited pieste 65KM in total quiet a few reds and blues one reasonable black, the slopes where more challenging than pamps the ski area was brill, best hotel if you can afford it is the kempinski right at the bottom of the slopes with skiing to the door. But if I was you would possibly go self catering pleanty of people with appatments to let next door to the kempinski and cheap flights with BA, you didnt say how many people go but transfers for up to 3 return are about £100, food in resturants is excellent and fantastic value, beer was cheaper than pamps and believe its cheaper tha boro, ski passes are £100 if you dont book through an agent and you can get an insurance for 10leve that will cover you if you need to be got off the mountain due to an accident means you wouldnt have to claim form your insurance saves you hassell. Chris h who post regularly on the board has been to both resorts boro and bansko sure he will give you a report as well if not leave a message and he will answer it. as for the lap dancing bars never saw any sorry Exclamation
