Home from Bansko last night & EXTREMLY JELOUS of everyone who's going out there!
Great conditions & a blooming Great week!
Loadsa fun!
From reading some of the "negative" posts on here i was expecting to be boarding in the middle of a farmers field with a bit of soil as powder! Far far from that.. Yes prices have gone up but lets face it.. your on holiday and if you want to have a beer or 2 than you should!
Deffo be returning! xxxx
As for the ski carrige... got charged £30 as it was 10kg over 0-=] i just used my =o omggggggg face and she knocked 5kg off so we only had to pay for 5!.. i didn't know that boots can be checked in free along with your suitcase though, so think that was in my favour!
The exchange rate over there was something like 2.15 much more than what i go over here, there's lots of exchange kiosks along pirin street, i would take half over and half exchanged over there if i did it again!
hi just returned from bansko and was filled in by our bulgarian holiday rep about money, they said if u change it go to the big hotels(5* ones) and only in the yellow kiosks as the blue ones pretend to give u a high exchange rate but its lies!it changes everyday there think we got 2.19 one day!i would only change the smallest ammount over here and change the rest over there.i didnt take any over at all and changed it in one of the hotels at 12am when we arrived!
The hotels will not give you the best rate, even the 5* ones.... All hotels will change money, do you think they do it out of the kindness of their hearts ???
Go to a bank, Alpha is best, open all day Mon-Fri, will exchange all notes (£10, £5 etc) and will give you rate on the day. Bank is located just off the square adjacent to the old tourist office...
