Hi All
We were in Bansko this March and had the best time of our lives... but were brought crashing down to earth as others we met had come through specialist holiday companies, they had paid a lot less for there 2 weeks than I had and were in a hotel close to the gondola lift. Can anyone recommend a good tour operator from the UK. Do you know if its better (cheaper) if I book early or wait till nearer the time. I am now intermediate and wife is still beginner, we will both need to ...

I belive the only tour ops. that go there at the moment are Balkan Holidays and Neilson, but I am sure that will change soon. So keep your eyes open. Having said that have you looked at booking flight's and accomadtion youself? Wizz air fly to Sofia from Luton you do have to change though. Or Ba fly direct. Couple of english owend Chalet's in Bansko @ very good prices.

Someone said some months ago that there would not be any other companies allowed by Balkan as they had the resort sewn up. Why has this suddenly changed now?????????re: Basko Holiday Companies Next Year.

Balkan have relented because basically they could not afford to take on the might of the biggies, the likes of Crystal, First Choice, Thompson etc will charter flights for the season with the hope of selling holidays, they know the demand is there from previous seasons. Competition has to be a good thing for your package type hol, it still leaves me worried for the viability of apartment based holidays run independantly by owners, they will ...
