beer prices are about 4lev a big beer, there are places cheaper but they generally don't have as much character. there was a wine bar next to the flora hotel doing big beers for 2.20lev but we were the only customers so didn't go back.
This season most places prices are staying the same as last year. Whilst we ave our own bar, we weren't the cheapest and I have no problem saying that! The Green King and the Yanakiev (fast food bit at bottom) were 2 of the cheapest places to go - both were 2.5lev a beer, so at current exchange rate, just over £1 for a pint.
Our place was 3.5lev, 10% off for anyone mentioning Bulgariaski (so 3.15lev a pint) and most other places varied from 3.5 up to 5 lev.
Hope this ...

I am a hunter of the cheap beer and very experienced at it however it is very true that the places with the cheap beer are the ones you want to stay in. (maybe a quick one as its hard to walk past on the way to a better bar).
3.5lv was average but when you take into account the free shots etc it more than makes up for it, but most of all the people and the atmosphere are key 3.5 is still not expensive.

Personally I love Bobbys all due to how AWESOME the people running it are beer and food excellent also. Now later on (ie early morning) I used to end up in Black tiger, or Francos but thats a whole other story......
I bumped into you in Bobby's last year, however you were just leaving and on your way to Black Tiger
I had a very drunken night in Franco's last year, i was so drunk i didn't even remember being in there until i returned for lunch the next day and the bar staff reminded me of my actions!!
Yea it gets a bit like that once you have been in looking forward to forgetting a few more nights might have to appoint a photographer so I can recap in the morning......
