re: Beer

A Gin and Tonic will cost you about £1 and is equivilant to about 5 UK measures.

Best beer is Karmaniza but the cheapest (yet still not bad) is Askika which costs about 50p a bottle.

The most popular drink on the slopes is Hot Chocolate with Brandy mmmmmmm Razz

Hello HCB!!

we're off to Boro on 15th Jan, first time for me but hubby has been before. I was going to go to Xscape to get a lesson or two before I went but they said I had to have 6-9 lessons before they would let me on the recreational slope, so thought sod it, I'll get the hang when I get there!! Have you skied before going to Xscape? Was it any good?

Hi Chrix

Yeah I skied befor I went about 3 weeks over five years haven't been skiiing for five whole years, went fell right back into it and know I belong. It really is great there. I think if you go with your heart you will make the right choice. The first time I went on a ski holiday 10 years ago, I have never wanted to do something so much (if you feel like that, do what ever you want, take lessons at xscape or don't it won't matter). In recent years I fibbed myself that I prefered summer holiday to winter. 1 hour at xscape changed all that.

re: Beer

At first I was a bit worried, but now I've got the kit and it's 10 days way I'm getting all excited, just hope I don't go all girly when I get there!! My hubby was a ski instructor in the army so I'm hoping he'll be able to teach me! We are going with another couple, the same as us two, he has skied before and she hasn't so it should be a laugh, I'm defo going to give it my best shot anyway!! Razz

re: Beer

Hello

My husband is also in the army. Don't often admit that but feel I should on this occasion. My hubby not coming he has bad knee injury. I am being an unfit mother leaving my little girl. I am going with siter in law and my two nephews 6 & 12 looking forward to the holiday but know I will miss my little girl loads wish I was taking her. Hence the question of Balkan Air the other night!!!!!! Will we get there and back.
