Best places to eat and drink

Hi,

There is a group of 7 of us heading to Borovets at the end of January for a week of skiing, boarding and general carnage. As this is our first time, what places would you all recommend to eat and drink?

Thanks

Simon

re: Best places to eat and drink

I recommend that you go to 101 cocktails, which is near the Rila hotel, you cant miss it. and order 7 strawberry Daquiris!! a bit more pricey than the rest of the drinks in borovets, but well worth it just to watch them make your sublime cocktail!!

hi, S.W.
Try the Titanic for Booze. You will find it by looking out of the rila Hotel reception and go to your left. For excellent steaks try Katies that place you cannot miss down by the Samacov.

I agree about Katies Steak House - incredible food at really great prices. We are going to be in Borovetts at the end of Jan as well. Where are you staying?

re: Best places to eat and drink

We are staying in the Rila - a mixed group of familly etc. - also from Lancashire (Rossendale / Darwin). I presume you will be flying from Manchester?

I've seen the chalets you mean, they look good, but I haven't been inside. Not far from the bars which is good !! and Katies or the Happy Duck (another good place to eat) are only a couple of hundred yards.

I've been to Borovetts for last few years, 'cus it's so much fun and cheap. Youe will have an absolute blast.

re: Best places to eat and drink

We are actually flying from Luton, we booked it separate trying to keep the cost down, but it has not worked out that much cheaper to be honest, I am Skiing but a couple of the lads are boarding. Really looking forward to it first skiing/Lads holiday.

The pictures I saw looked nice, even got saunas.

You MUST go to Happy Duck and Hotshots, Try Mamacitas (sp?) for mexican food.

re: Best places to eat and drink

For drinks try Happy Duck + Buzz Bar, for food try Katies, Senor Frog, Mamacitas. The Chinese is ok too - not that cheap tho', unless you go for the set meal which does work out at good value.

cheers

re: Best places to eat and drink

Happy duck is good for drinks. Have never eaten there but hear that the food is very good. Katies steak house is excellent. I have also heard good things about the mexican near to the Samakov hotel. Alternatively many people have posted before about taking a short trip to the town of Samakov and trying the restaurants there.

There is plenty of places to try. Hope you have fun.
