Best time and place

Myself, hubby and 10yr old son are thinking of going to Bulgaria skiing in March (20th). Is there still snow at this time? and what's the best resort Bansko, Bovorets or Pamporovo..we have only been skiing once before so are still 'new' to it.

Thanks

re: Best time and place

sorry Kate,
can't help with this for Pamporovo . Pete or Amanda will be your best bet on this one.

re: Best time and place

we're going to pamps at that time. Not been so late before, but checked back over the weather thingy seems to be fine for the last three years, the season finishes april does it not? I was thinking it's a gamble, but then last february was a gamble, so, it'll be what it is and I'm sure we'll enjoy Smile

Hi
I went skiing about a year ago and stayed in the rila hotel in the borovets, it was amazing. You could take 3 steps and you were on the slope. I think Borovets is the best, there was a wide range of slopes (i mainly stayed on the greens) i remember one green run and it was really long and went through a forest was like taking a nice walk but on skiis! i wanted to do it over and over, was taken on a red, that was really good too and had a cafe at the bottom it was a day in itself, gettin ...

Food and drink is cheap too, also we had a beginners deal where it was about 130 each and it included hire of boots skiis and a weeks ski pass.
Borovets all the way!
