Can't go wrong with Data Wax All Temp Wax or Butta Original, Butta Eco.
But as an advancing beginner, do you have all the kit to service/wax your own board?
If not, it only costs approx £20 for a wax and edge and approx £30 for base grinding and/or PTEX repairs.
If you have your own kit or plan to buy your own kit, you can do it for a lot less and it's fairly simple too. But decent kit isn't cheap.

Your safest all round bet on hot iron wax though is an all temp general purpose wax - there are many brands out there.
Each service place will have their preferred brand of wax to use too.
