Got a Big Air roller board bag from skiwear4less, can get it in at 23kg with my and the kids skis (100cm and 130cm), the kids boots and some clothing for padding. Plenty of room for at least a couple of full sized boards in there!

re: Boardbag advice please

do you get a full 23kg with your ski carriage then or does that come off your whole luggage allowance???

I have 32kg luggage allowance which has to be 1 suitcase and I've booked 1 ski carriage on top Very Happy Very Happy

re: Boardbag advice please

I put all my snowboard gear in my board bag as it protects the board from any nasty bangs.
Make sure it has edge pading as its the edges that can cut through the skin if it gets a nasty knock and it protects the edges. boots in and gloves in and coat and trousers all help protect the board in transit, it gets put into abnormal size luggage and its away.
I have a Dakine and its padded and never had a problem.
Wheels are good but they wear out quick so this one I have has none cos of that...
