Booked flights.. Now need somewhere to stay, can you help!

Hi all,

In a moment of excitement I have booked flights out to Sofia on Saturday the 30th of Jan! So Bulgaria here we come... However, I quickly panicked when I realised that Borovets seems to have limited snow and runs open. I've only ever been there but to be honest think I looks a better plan to go elsewhere in Bulgaria.

I've had a look on the forum and web and from what I can find, it looks like Bansko and Pamporovo have better snow at the moment. Do either of these ski resorts have an official web page like borovets-bg? I'd like to get an idea of snow conditions and more importantly where has lifts open!

Can anyone locally confirm that Pamps is fully open and that the snow is okay and should be still be there in a week!
My preference I think is going to be Pamps, as I have a 5 year old and 10 year old and think it looks better suited for beginners and family. Would you agree?

Could anyone recommend a hotel / apartments / lodge etc at Pamps that is convenient for both the lifts and nightlife? I also need transfers for 6 people from Sofia to Pamps and back, any ideas on costs and who I can book that is reliable or been used by someone here?

My kids and will also need ski school and we all need passes, ski hire and may also book lessons for the adults. Again can someone recommend who I can book this with? I've been told for adults I should be able to get ski hire / passes and ski school for under £190 Euros, sound about right?

Last question, does Pamps ski school take kids of 5?

Sorry for all the questions but I've only got a week and need to choose resort, book hotel, ski packs and transfers etc.

Any advice on reputable people to book with and ideas for Hotel would be great.

Many thanks,

HappySkiierUK!

Pamporovo is perfect for kids, it's a family resort. 95% of the slopes are in perfect conditions. Check the web, Dafovska Hotel & Interskischool Pamporovo.
