I know its boring talking about skiing on here but.. weve been thinking of various differant things to offer and i cant quite get my head around why i havent heard of this, we are going to try out combining water/snow skiing by using a skidoo and trail rope,( no not on water) now ive thought of the obvious running in to the back of the skido, but i reckon this could be one hell of a ride, has anyone ever come across this???? :~
Pete will be soooooooooooo pleased that someone is talking about skiing. Perhaps it will get him off my back.
I haven't come across such a ride as you describe. When we were in Cervinia one year we were taken up to a restaurant in skidoos and then after the meal and a considerable amount of booze we were each given a bin liner which we had to wear somehow and then go down the slope on our bums. Great fun!!! At the bottom there was another bar of course to pile into. ...

for intermediate and above (ie those wot can stop!!!) i reckon its not that dangerous, but skiing uphill would be fun!! its also a chance to go further a field, just seems strange no ones tried it before
iv seen it done
but the only time i saw it done was when we had been drinking and so had the people trying it so they didnt get to far but it worked well as far as they got
think you dont see much of it as itd annoy people on busy slopes as they where coming down, but as the lifts get so busy it can save time to get back up to the top
Hey guys,
Long time since I've checked the board.
Used to do this behind quad bikes when it snowed in NZ. We used to make little jumps in the paddocks or if it rained hard enough we'd use water skis.
