Lessons are generally from 930 - 10 ish in the morning til 3 - 330 ish in the afternoon with a break for lunch. If you are in a beginners group you will be with people who will all be of a similar level and you will have fun learning together. You are on holiday so if you wanted to spend an afternoon with your partner you are free to do so but may miss out on some techniques. The lifts generally operate until 430ish so you would have an hour at the end of group to ski together although by 3 i've normally had enough (although my husband is sat next to me arguing that its normally 2ish lol) and by that time it hot choc and brandy o'clock.
We are out in Boro from the 12th staying at the Samokov Hotel, hopefully we will catch up with you both in the White House or at the forum meet. keep an eye on the board for date and time of meet.

the groups tend to spread out across the resort so you won't be guarenteed to be in the same place at lunchtime but as your partner is the better skiier he could always get his instructor to call your instructor and find out where you are having lunch and he could come and join you. Don't be nervous, you will have a ball, we have used Samakov Ski school for the past 4 trips and have got to know quite a few of the instructors who are all friendly and will put you at your ease. We will probably see you outside the ski depot on the sunday morning, i ski in a pink jacket and have a pink helmet and jon skis in a sort of dayglo green jacket with black patches with swirly paterns on and a black helmet, unless he gets a new one before we go. If you spot us come over and say hi. All the others in your group will be in the same boat as you so don't worry, just enjoy the experience. Nade

Where are you guys flying from?
we don't arrive til quite late on saturday night but will definately look out for you on sunday morning.
Borovets is really friendly and the groups we have been in have always been really good fun.
We've never skiied anywhere else but we have heard that the apres ski in bulgaria is more lively than some of the alpine resorts but there are quiet bars if thats what you prefer.
Its a small resort so you will soon find your way around and everyone is really friendly.

You would be far better using every moment of lessons provided to really get you sking very quickly so you will be able to ski with your boy friend-you will meet other beginners and have such fun-it is only 4 hours a day and you will restrict your boy friends sking if he is having to find you every lunch time-it is quite likely you will have lunch in the same vicinity on some days . Enjoy the apres sking sharing your sking stories. The lessons are relatively cheap in Bulgaria so take advantage of that. You will miss technique and the rest of the group may progress in front of you if you dip in and out. Go for it girl!!
