Boro Ski Lesson Structure?

Hello all, flying out on the 5th with the Mrs. We've booked with Neilson and she's booked onto the intermediate skiing pack. I snowboard and don't have any lessons booked just my lift pass.

Just wondering which ski school she'll be with and what the structure of the lessons will be? Times (just the morning?) etc.?

We obviously don't want to spend the week not seeing each other but she does want to improve her skiing.

Any info gratefully recieved Smile

Cheers,
Dan

My suggestion, email Kas (she's on here as Kas & Bobby) and she will get you discount with the best ski instructor in town (in my opinion).

Jack; Sounds good to me! Yes it's just the 2 of us so whilst she's in lessons i'll be on my own.
Do you ski/snowboard? How about the other people in your group?

Paul; thanks but as we've already paid for her lessons (and I don't need any) we're OK on that front.

re: Boro Ski Lesson Structure?

Dan, you didn't say which hotel. If you are in the Samakov you will be in their school. Anywhere else you will most probably be with Borosports. Depending on where you are staying she will most likely have to find an instructor outside the Rila on the Sunday morning. It will appear to be mayhem and I guess she will not be going anywhere 'til about 10.30 at the earliest. Things will settle down after the first day and then you will find that she will be in her class from about 9.30 to 3ish ...

Things will settle down after the first day and then you will find that she will be in her class from about 9.30 to 3ish but a lot depends on the instructor. That should give you an hour at the end of each day for some time together on the slopes. You can always ask the instructor where they will be going for lunch each day so you can meet up with her.

re: Boro Ski Lesson Structure?

I'm guessing if she's happy/comfortable with her skiing then she can head off and do her own thing in the afternoon for example?

I'm guessing the instructors don't mind losing people from the group as it'll just make it easier for them!

The way i imagined it was her on lessons in the morning, then meet for lunch and spend the afternoon together.

re: Boro Ski Lesson Structure?

They won't mind, people pop in and out of the groups all the time. It is a great place to learn and the thing with Bulgaria and the structure of the lessons is that you should have a good time and really get to know the others in the class. Unlike some other places in Europe where you just don't get to know them. In BG you do spend all day with the instructor. It is good for people like me as I can get to ski with others rather than on my own. She should learn a lot. If she does stick with ...
