Hi All,

Today's it's not looking great... There are gale force winds up in Boro, so not only is the gondola shut again, but so is the 4man chair (Yastrebets) which means that the only previous decent runs to ski on (Yastrebets 2 and 3) are closed today as well... There is also now just 1 drag in front of the rila which is open, but you can see from the webcam (link below) that the condition of the slope is awful - you can also see how windy it is. A few buses are again going to Bansko but we have also heard that the gondola is shut there as well - again due to winds - although would need someone over there to verify this. Not great news all round but thought you would rather know than sit at home in the dark! Remember though, it is supposed to snow this weekend so keep up that positive thinking !! If anything else happens will let you know!

Still not sure of snow but if it is colder then cannons will work. On a positive side, just left Boro to come home, get changed and go back up with a group of people and everyone is in great moods / high spirits and most people I spoke to are having a fab time regardless of the snow. I know that's not ideal, but to re-iterate Fraser's comments, prices are cheaper and the beer is good and the bars are really trying by agreeing to discounts etc. Will update in the morning in terms of lifts/ piste conditions but I am certainly no expert and can't predict the snow - just happy to provide basic info!
