Good site by the way- very informative....

6 lads all mid - late 20's arriving hotel Rila on Saturday (dodgy coach driver permitting). Seen there seems to be a good selection of bars, nightlife etc which is welcome news to our ears! Any areas to stay away from- I know from experience that groups of lads tend to be targeted by unscrupulous locals...

Let us know of any other groups out there at the same time.

Couple of quick questions:

# Exactly HOW cheap is the beer? I've heard in the region of 75p a pint?? Is there anywhere to get a kebab (or equivalent) last thing at night? What time do the bars close?

# I've been skiing since I was 5 so gather the runs here probably wouldn't be the most challenging- was going to change my ski's for a board on day 3 and board for the rest of the week... Firstly- will I have any problem doing that? (I did it in France, Italy no problemo at all....) Secondly- it looks like I'll have problems on the lifts- is Borovets REALLY that boarder unfriendly?

# What's the equipment like? Sorry- coming from somebody who's skiied in France all my life, I've got visions of being handed wooden skiis or something?

# Anyone have a longer snow forecast than 3 days? Is it going to stay at minus 18 for any longer- that's outrageous? What are the conditions like at the mo?

# Food- is Rila really that bad? We've booked in half board but don't really fancy having the squirts for the week and getting caught short on a 15 minute chair lift...
