Been twice and about to go again in less than 2 days Razz Razz Razz
Dont worry!!
Food is pretty good, not cordon bleu, but good range of choice, only gripe is that it is warm at best, but aparrently that is how Bulgarians eat their food!! You wont go hungry, but you can eat out if you want, food will be hotter, but obviously cost more.
Dont worry about prozzy's I had to search to see them (not to use!!) and only when pointed out did I recognise them, so no probs there.

Take flip flops for pool - its lethal for slipping otherwise - literally.
Hotel is very nice, and very clean.
Service is excellent, with very friendly staff.
They have big security guys around all the time in reception & by lifts to protect you & your rooms.
Go - ski & enjoy!!

re: Borovets, Rila

Just got back from the Rila, Sat. Stayed with family, two boys, 6 and 11. They were fine with the food in the Rila, it's not as bad as we'd anticipated as, like you, we'd been concerned about the reviews we'd read. Better if you eat earlier though as food is always hot then - restaurant opens at 6. Did eat out a few nights though as it's so cheap - Franco's do great pizza.

Apartments were fine in the Rila, clean with a maid service every day and fresh towels. We had a great holiday !!!!

Hi Louise
Yep I agree with Louise's comments, we were there at the same time, on the same floor of the hotel and in the same ski group, thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Back to work now Louise? It was busy as hell on Monday, haven't recovered yet!!
