Borovets - Hotel Ela

Has anyone been to the above hotel recently. I beleive the rooms are cold !! We stayed at the Lion the past two years at Bansko and there were spacious and lovely and warm.

im going there in march but im told its not brill. small rooms, food not great. it is right in the center though and very near to the gondola. anyone else who has been to this hotel your input would be appreciated

There is a Hotel Ela. Its about 100yds or so further down the road from the Gondola (on the same side). Never stayed, dont know much about it but it is conveniently placed and Im I remember someone mentioning that the steps outside are absolutely lethal so be careful

The Hotel Ela has had a complete makeover for this season, all the winows have been replaced with upvc so the rooms should be warm. Also the front steps have been re done, in fact theyre still finishing everything off, so i think youll find youve landed a good deal

stayed there 3 years running very handy for gondola rooms warm plenty of hot water food ok friendly bar staff room size can vary depending on which floor your on 1st floor is good has patio too always enjoyed my stay there. this year going independantly with son and friends got an apartment at flora but wife and grandchild staying at ela needs to use inghams kindergarten

I'm staying at this hotel for a week on the 29th of december, over new years eve. does anyone know if there is anything going on at hotel ela on new years eve?
