Hi all. i have just booked to go Borovets next year on the 15th Jan. I have never skiied in my life and am really looking forward to it. untill...i was on another forum j2ski.com and found out there has not been much snow this season and last.
Can anyone help. is Jan a bad time to ski for a beginner? what happens if there is no snow? am i best asking the travel agency about moving my holiday back a month ?
we went that week this year -We did not have much snow. If u can do it later I would. Luck of the draw it is early in the season and Borovets is not that high. You could be lucky
as ive heard on here feb onwards is best time never been was meant to be their this week but got a bad injury last week how lucky am i as the snow is not good this year wont be booking for next year though.

That said, its a great resort with good nightlife and friendly people so when you can't ski you have to party! As for going elsewhere, you'll have to pay a lot more on the holiday and on spending money. I haven't found anywhere else that is as budget friendly apart from Romania. Also as already pointed out by Sian the higher you go, the more likelihood of snow, ...
