Yastrebets runs look perfect on the webcams!

On our way tomorrow but not skiing until Friday so hoping for some snow by then Confused

is it wind or lack of snow that has closed Markudjik area? unusual for the gondola to not be going up there

I did here it was because of high winds. Marjudjik was skiing well yesterday.... For those of you that are interested the snow park outside of rila has been bulldozed, and the jump is netted off. Back at the hotel by 11.40. Quick shower then beers to cheer us up Booze

High winds would make sense because the top does look in good shape.

On another site it says the gondola is partly open which i would imagine means open to halfway and then ski down Yastrebets 1, it also says yasterbets 4 man is open so access to yastrebets 2 & 3 should be available?

I've just seen on the webcams someone come past the finishing post pub!

That would make sense. Does mean that those slopes will get hammered. I have always found that the top areas are often fine but there can be large thin/icy patches as you get lower.

Do they have a week-two week longer range forecast in BG Kas? Even just a case of things will get a little colder. I guess it's like winter hasn't really happened yet!

So warm so far up a mountain is unusual I know. I know we WILL ski, just hoping for a good few runs open. And not just a few!? Lol
