Borovets Conditions - January 16th

Hi Everyone!

Well, not great news to report and I'm starting to feel like I did 2 years ago, when I never had anything good to report...!!

Rila slopes are open, Yastrebets 1 is open and Sitnyakovo & Sitnyakovo 1 are open but that is it...

The Markudjik area is now all closed, Yastrebets 2 & 3, Harima & FonFOn are all closed as are some of the Sitnyakovo runs - although somehow?? George's run is still open. Unfortunately just not enough snow and everything melting really fast... ...

There was about 2cm of snow during the night but nothing of any significance and today looks like it's going to be another hot, sunny day.... Sad

Sorry if this report makes you all miserable(!) but at least you know!

Thanks Kas and here is my hopeful BUT, looking like a good spell coming up in the next few days?? Come on Mark IOW show us your colours ?!

Flying out Saturday, looks like the trip to Gatwick will be tricky on Friday - lots of snow forecast!!

Hi Wash,

No idea - I'm rubbish at forecasting - I read them all and then put all the best bits together!

The only thing I'm good at is typing up the reports and looking out the window to see what the weather is like!!

Some forecasts say snow coming up, some say rain and tbh I have absolutely no idea BUT if it snows, you'll know about it ASAP!

On the webcams looks to me as if borovets have got a lot more snow than bansko... and definitely seemed like people were skiing in more than 2cm of fresh snow. Just hope the temperatures cool and everywhere gets lots of snow, shame it was a great start to the season and just seems to be getting worse and worse Sad

You do, do yourself down Kas, when saying that all you are good at is typing, I, and others on here have seen you party!!! Oh and I guess you are the fastest downstairs racer n Bulgaria !!!!
