Borovets Conditions & Weather Update

Hi All,

Similarly to last year, we will start posting these at the beginning of December as it's still too early now as everything will change! I will post around 8.30 / 9am every morning as the new director of the lifts is a great guy and has agreed that Bobby can call him every morning to get an update not just in terms of what's open (which you can also see on the Borosport website) but also updated piste conditions as by then all pistes will have been skiied by at least 1 lift ...
Hi All,

Similarly to last year, we will start posting these at the beginning of December as it's still too early now as everything will change! I will post around 8.30 / 9am every morning as the new director of the lifts is a great guy and has agreed that Bobby can call him every morning to get an update not just in terms of what's open (which you can also see on the Borosport website) but also updated piste conditions as by then all pistes will have been skiied by at least 1 lift operator.

Mark IOW will also be doing the forecasts in conjunction with the piste updates, so.....things will be even more upto date this year!!

Also, as per previous post, snow still remains on the top as they didn't flatten in down, waited for temps to get warmer again and then form a 'crust' on top of the snow - it was around 40cm, but now is only 12cm (spoke to the cousin this morning who is currently up top chopping logs)! This is still a great base for the cannons to start working up there but as above, it is much too early to be reporting on weather or snow conditions.

As I am ALREADY hooked to this site with a little less than 4 months away I will be watching your reports intently.

Always a much needed honest picture of what is happening snow wise and ALWAYS appreciated.

No worries - its even better this year that Georgi (not the cousin but the director of the ski runs) is on board and happy to give a daily update as sometimes last season we could only get part information!! We have to pay him with whisky and other beverages but if it gives people accurate info, rather than people just making it up / basing it on what they see on the webcams then it's worth it!!

Talking of webcams - new one at the White House going up this week but will face the gondola so you can see people ski (fall!) down the path from the gondola to the WH.

We are also putting one in Bobby's Bar at the bottom, but that will be inside so you can wave to family and friends!! This has been suggested to us by quite a few people and is also an idea we got from Aria and Aimee (that used to have the Alpina) so thanks guys!!! If things get too messy though we will turn it off so that what goes on tour stays on tour....!!!

Borovets Conditions & Weather Update

Hey Hun,

Thanks but it is a pleasure doing it as although when I first started we had no business involvement in Boro, now everyone more than says thanks by just coming to the restaurant and supporting us which is more than appreciated... Also, it is much better for the resort / locals / businesses in general if people are told the truth and delay their holiday if necc, than be told a load of rubbish, arrive in Boro and then go home hating it!

BTW - a little bit of useless info for you.....last year we gave away 50litres of house rakia and we were only open for half the season.... This season we have 300litres of home-rade rakia to give away, so everyone better get their drinking caps on....

See you Friday - we will be there late afternoon!

xx
