Hi Guys,
Ive been to borovets before but im a bit hazy on some stuff!
Me and the lads fly out on the 11th of Feb and are shitting ourselves about the snow situation! Will there be snow by then?
Also, how much can we expect to pay for a 6 day lift pass? and ski hire? We've been quoted but want to make sure we're not being mugged off
Really looking forward to the trip, cant wait for that first zakorka and one of those rancid free shots
Any help would be amazing!
Thanks,
Guy
depending on where you go i would say between 170 and 220 euro for your ski hire lift pass and tuition... i have heard that you get what you pay for with the gear rental tho we use hunters in the flora right by the slopes and the gear is good but it is the top end of them prices... as for the snow situation who knows???
Hi Guy
We booked through Nilsen, paid £119 for a lift pass or £165 (beginer), £185 (intermediate) for complete package of 6 day liftpass, ski hire and tuition (4 hrs per day). These prices were substantially cheaper than buying when you get there. Also had to pay for a replacement 6 day liftpass whilst there, which cost 286 lev (about £130).
Re the snow - keep the faith!
All the best, Jim.
As the guys say, there are numerous prices and they actually range from circa £185 to £240 for a full pack - the deviation is really down to the quality of the equipment.
If you email me (click on my name) and say who gave you the quote, I can advise if it's accurate or not as we know most of the in-resort ski school prices but not the tour operator ones.
We used Hunters too. Not impressed with gear very old (they rely on beginners who haven't a clue). The 6 of us had to keep changing it almost daily as the boot fittings kept breaking and they also insisted you return the gear everyday which means you can't do night boarding /skiing which is alot less crowded. Had to wait for 40 mins whilst they bought passes even though booked in advance. Storage office is tiny get 4 of you inside and it's full with people waiting outside it was also ...

Instructor good and smaller group than Borosports, we were part of 2 small groups with 2 instructors.
Im worried about the snow too, the rest of my group are non skiers so they will be ok on the nursery slope with the cannons, but wonder if I will get to do any skiing. We paid £411 inc of flights, hotel, half board, all equipment, ski passes and all their weeks lessons. I thought that was a good deal. Inghams
