Hi Guys
Off to Borovets with 5 mates on 4th March. We've never been skiing and I've presuaded everyone to give it a go. Obviously Im now getting nervous as its all on my shoulders!!! Just how good is borovets and where/what should we do? I need reassurance badly
PS - Staying in the Olymp Hotel - Its not as bad as everyone says is it
Many thanks, Scott
get yourselves some bumboards to go down the run from your hotel to the gondola-its the quickest way down
apart from that its a good old walk up the hill to the hotel.
didn't stay at the olymp but friends who did reckon you need a bedroom on the upper floors as the rooms were abit ?????????
you never know i might be staying there tomorrow as we head out to borovets on a AOA square deal.
but never mind as long as i've got somewhere to sleep, shower and have my breakfast i don't really mind ...

CAN'T WAIT
you not going on the flight from Manchester are you?
Not been before but off with 3 other lads who have been and tell me that Borvets is great......its cheap food and drink, great skiing for all levels and as far as hotels are just have to accept that your only likely to sleep in it when your either knackered or pissed..
Our flight goes from Humberside Airport... 12.30pm I think? We're a big group of lads... very forward question, indeed could be taken as foreplay in some cultures... any large group of girls on that flight?? x
Came back from Borovets on Sunday...had a superb time.
Skiing for all levels and instruction very good...my partner was a complete beginner and she came back just short of doing parallel turns. Plenty of bars and restaraunts and all much cheaper than the UK (80p for a 1/2 litre of lager/beer is about right but can be cheaper). As for the Olymp, it seems to be going under a bit of a re-furbishment. Our room was very (VERY) basic but rooms to the side of us were nicer, however food was pretty ...

Also if you use the pool or sauna make sure you bring down towels!
All in I'd say Borovets is a great place...I'll be back!
You'll love it!
Another couple of victims of skiing madness. Do not be tempted by the 'darkside' (boarding)
Flying from gatwick on 3rd March with some friends and teenage kids with their mates, 8 in all. At the end of the day you gets what you pay for, a cheap weeks skiing. So don't expect the earth. Having said that it's our 6th year in Boro and I love every minute of it. Managed to progress from 'cant stand up' to 'pretty damn good' for an old 'un. Never had a bad instructor and ...

Get yourself down to the Buzz Bar & you wont need to worry about where you're staying!
I know its not the thing to say here but.........
BRING IT ON.............I CANT WAIT!!
hey, unfortunatly from the 'darkside' but that doesnt mean we dont know a good place to warm you up after freezing on the slopes! so yeah buzz bar is good, so is chilli peepers, had a very nice meal there. Oooo, and if you need a good ' full english' breakfast, go to mamacitas, (above the V. nice kebab place), spot on!
My son and his mates are from the 'darkside' so I know you're not all bad. Personally, 2 planks or one , to me it makes no difference, its the sliding that counts not what you do it on!
Hey lets be honest, it doesn't matter what the hotel is like because you only sleep there.
The ski runs are great whatever you do ski or snowboarder.
You don't need to ask what bars are good because there are loads to choose from.
And booze is about 50p per pint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was over for new year and going back on the 10th March I love it so much.
