Have you read any of the posts before Nick? No one on here even knows what a soft drink is unless its mixed with vodka!! Ski jump certainly used to be on use, and the Bulgarian ski team put on a show once a week, but it was probably 11 or 12 years ago now, not sure if they still do it? Ski doos can be hired from the bottom of the black slope I'm sure, and from memory were around £30. Sure you will get plenty of answers to the rest of your questions. Have a great week!!
hi Nick as Kelvin said ski school put on a show once a week not sure what night it is but easy to find out when there, as for soft drinks cant help because i just end up soft after my drinks . Enjoy top place for sure
The ski show was on last year, think it was wednesday, on the slop opposite Bobby's. Quite pricey so we watched from Jimmy's. It was so cold that beer froze in the glass! Sorry cant help with soft drinks, we only drink them with vodka

Hi Nick
If you want to buy soft drinks to drink in your room, you can go to the supermarket about 150 metres up the hill out of the Samokov hotel reception, which is in the middle where the road forks. I know you can buy beer and bottled water dirt cheap, so soft drinks will be similar.
Inside the Samokov hotel, there are at least four bars, the main one being at reception. The prices for beer are normally a bit more expensive that the surrounding bars but still cheaper than the UK, so soft drinks will be cheap compared to the UK. If it tells you anything a pint of beer may be 4 lev, which is about £166. From this, you can see you should not have to worry about bar prices.
I'm thinking everyone is talking about the instructors show on a wed nt. what I'm talking about, and what I think you were asking about was ski jumping. There is s 90m hill for ski jumping that I went to 10 yrs ago or so as in "Eddie the eagle" ski jumping
behind the trees past the black slope away from Rila.
The Ski Jump at Borovets has been out of commission for some years now. There are lots of places to Hire snowmobiles, Hunters is possibly the more organised and the machines are all quite new. Soft drinks are very cheap, supermarkets are obviously the cheapest places, even in bars there usually only a couple of Levs.
Hi Nick, we're out there from 27th. Like you not having been away skiing for years and this is our first full on family ski trip. Although we frequent Glenshee as much as possible. Kids are 6 and 9 and can ski in a fashion although our 6 year old refuses to turn. We're really excited and can't wait. Where are you staying / flying from?
Only to add that the Ski Jump you can see is indeed out of commission and 'derelict', You won't see any jumping up there, although it is worth a walk (IMO) up there to have a look, you can walk up onto the jump slope itself. It's a bit eerie at night though!

re: Borovets costs
Hi Nick,
The ski jump ramp is indeed out of commission, however go to Bobby's Bar in the same building as the mountain rescue, first aid up past the Flora for the board meetup on Sunday night (well ant night most will be in there) and Bobby is an ex ski jumper, also have a great kids room organised by his son,
Hope to see you there
