re: Borovets half board - how much money should we take?
No probs wolvogirl! Knew it was a mistake just having fun!
Wellingtons rebecca!- no way!
Just take your trainers and some boots (without heals in case its icy!)
Think of a winters night out locally and take the same!
Enjoy!

Best thing I bought shoe-wise were some snow boots - furry lined to keep my little tootsies warm!! If you're on the lookout for some, get them with a decent sole - don't get the thin soles like Uggs, for obvious reasons!!
Think I got mine on ebay, weren't expensive and they're about to take me on my second ski hol since I bought them. With skinny jeans tucked in, they're great.

Hi all
Ok two more silly questions =)
1 – Can you rent ski pants when you get to Borovets? If so, roughly how much does this cost? We are struggling to find anyone in London with ski pants for under £50 – remember we are Australian and may never wear them again lol
2 – What should I pack to wear underneath my ski jacket and pants? I’ve got long johns and thermals but what else do you normally wear so it’s not too bulky?

try www.gooutdoors.co.uk you can shop online or visit a store and they sell stuff from cheap to expensive.
Going on my first skiing trip in March and as I might not like it didnt want to spend a fortune. My trousers cost me £20. The quality probably isnt very good - cant comment till I have tested them!

Hey Rebecca, we are going on our first skiing trip to Bansko in March and I got all my stuff from Mountain warehouse and Decathlon... I spent £55 for my ski outfit (jacket and pants) around £15 for goggles, £9 for gloves, £3 for socks per pair, thermal base layer tops £3 each.

Also, with regards to exchange rates, anyone living in london should check out thomasexchangeglobal - they claim to have the best exchange rate, and dont charge commission or anything. At the moment they are selling bulgarian lev at 2.24 to the pound. I have always got my holiday currency from there (unless im going to EU and using my nationwide card as they offer an excellent rate).
