We kitted our selves out at

They are very reasonable and they deliver. One tip is to buy a size bigger than you need so as to allow for a couple of layers just in case it really cold. You can always wear the jacket again and the trousers are about £20-£30. Di.

Hi Rebecca,
I would suggest a fleece type jumper under your jacket too - so your thermal top and bottoms; fleece jumper then snow suit (jacket and trousers). This will make some people a little warm (depending on how hot you run; workrate and outside temp etc) but I would always veer towards slightly too warm rather than slightly too cold - it's easier to loose a layer up the montain than it is to gain one... Most ski jackets are vented so it you get too warm you can unzip the vents under ...

Other than that, thermal socks, a scarf / snood and a beanie....
oh and I would always recommend a helmet Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

We were in London at the weekend and picked up a pair of salopettes from mountain warehouse for £15 in the sale. They had loads of items in the sale in there. We went to the store close to Covent Garden

Hi Rebecca..

I've been following your mum's trip report (France, Italy, Spain and Croatia) on Fodor's! Coincidence to come across you here!

Just want to say, have a wonderful time, and do try to get to the forum meet, or at least the White House run by Bobbi and Kas.

I'm missing Borovets this year - it is a magical place in the snow which by all accounts you will be getting next week.

Please, when you get back, can you post a little bit about how you - as an Australian skiing for ...

re: Borovets half board - how much money should we take?

hey all

off to borovets on saturday!! also stayin at the rila - cant wait!! Very Happy

so a couple of questions...

--if we want to have extra lessons while there, is it possible to buy them locally?

--given that the nighlife looks good, and lunch is expensive, do you think its worth asking the hotel to make us packed lunches and eating out for dinner?

--what are the packed lunches options - are the supermarkets local and worth a trip?

thanks in advance Smile
