re: Borovets???

Just got back. Top of gondola is fine but only place beginners can now ski so very busy with ski schools of all ages. Runs down to mid station OK. Below that is dodgy. Rila side melting very quickly. Narrow green pathways very icy and wrecked by boarders so no good for beginner skiers.

re: Borovets???

Hi just got back on the 17th March i agree the rila slopes have either melted away or are very icy. Up the Gondola great skiing to be had especially on the reds to the middle station.
Would recommend Katy's restaurant opposite the Samokov hotel for food or just beer, food very nice and cheap and beer only 98 pence a pint
Karaoke bar the black tiger a very good night out
Enjoy im jealous dont want to be back in the UK

re: Borovets???

I was in borovets last week and on saturday was actually walking round in shorts and a t-shirt. The main street was more like a shallow river with the Big Ice Melt!!
Its very warm through the day - but below freezing at night so most runs are now becoming dangerously icy, a serious fall is needed!
Im sure you have fun though! Happy hours in the Kareoke bar is £1 for 1Litre of local beer!!!
