Get a taxi to Samokov 15/20 levs. Try The Old House restaurant (beautiful lit church next door) it'e the oldest in Samokov, great food and oldy worldy atmosphere. Or ask for Kokoshkova Kushta hotel tel: 359 72266432 fabulous modern interior and service.
Both restuarants are the best in the area and you need to ring first. Ask your instructor to ring for you - not sure of telephone number for Old House.

I personally think the Old House is more romantic as it is more intimate. Arrange taxi for return journey on way down. They usually give you a card and the restuarant will always ring for you.

Re the nude skiing. Some slopes are floodlit at night!!!

I like the idea of going down to Samokov, When I stayed in Bansko I was recomended the Mulrover, which is on the main road right next to the huge wine barre - it was great! cosy, different, good value and great food.
I was hoping someone might have a contact for a private choir, say 6 people+, who would come to the restaurant and serenade my wife, or dog sled ride to a private log cabin ect.- sigh...its tough being an old romantic.

Not sure about the choir! Maybe a small folk band could be arranged by the restaurant, especially in Samokov. Try asking instructor, they usually know everyone or someone who does.Perhaps more men should read and take note!
