Thanks so much everyone for your kind wishes - it really is a right bummer. Had my operation on Tuesday where they fitted a steel plate in my ankle and I was released from hospital last night. Never realised what hard work crutches are until now and I'm knackered trying to get around the house. 6 weeks in plaster with dogs looking at me as if I'm someone who's just landed from Mars!

Please everyone - dedicate one of your runs for me whilst your away and I'll be with you through every ...

Swift recovery, I will be honored to dedicate the first run to you, and also toast your recovery in Bobby's Bar every night.

Just on a different note, if you are planning an end of season meeting when you are fit I will try my hardest to attend, would be great to meet up .

I'm sure we'll get something together Mancs - but I won't be able to drive for a couple of months at least so maybe April/May time would be best for me.

Bit late this but sorry to hear your news.

On the plus side, do you get to carry one of those special cards that lets you go through metal detectors no problem?!
