Bulgaria gone up alot???

Hello

Went to borovets last year and dispite some of the awfull reviews we had a great time

Looked at costs this year and it seems to be as costly or more than France Italy which seems mad, even the lift pass is the same as huge resorts in italy with MUCH more runs

On One main site boro is £50 more than Les 2 aloes

Has anyone else found this? Or am I looking at the wrong sites?

Check out alpine elements january deals £399 la plagne h/b with free liftpas £299 if u drive there , just had it on email tempted to go away again when we get back from pamps

phone holiday hypermarket we booked hotel rila 350 for 1 week 16th jan was more expensive on internet ang going with neilsen good luck

Blimey, I could drive there in 9 hours, I think next year may give it a try, is this a last minute deal?.

Yha but a 4* hotel in Bulgaria is like a 2 star hotel in Italy

1 week 1/2 board in boro was 490 and 1 week 1/2 board in Italy was 459, ok booze and grub more money but with the lift passes the same in the big picture Bulgaria looks not such a cheap deal

Must say though was super surprised at how good boro was, ok it's not as good as some places but was a cool holiday

If you areb thinking of driving go onto mappy.com gives you toll costs and can work out the fuel, plus dont forget the chanel crossing, we have driven across france a few times, not that cheap!!

4* hotel in bulgaria same as 2* in Italy, the four stars I have seen in Bansko have been on par to 4* here in the uk so don't think that is the case anymore!!

Thanks for the tips sam, have driven on the continent for many years, but never to ski resorts (international lorry and coach driving), mappy is a super rescource.

Have to agree with you about the hotels sam, I have always stayed at the Orphey in Bansko, spa, pool etc, am trying the Vihren Palace this time as can walk to gondola and get there early if i want. Anyone stayed there?, have read some good reports on tripadvisor.
8 days and counting, better wax my skis!!
